I was a reprographer since leaving school and once my husband's business became a success and we had a nice large house instead of a flat it gave me the opportunity to take a pay cut and look after children. This was always my dream and I still love it.
After the activities and lunch,the gang tend to have a little read and chat amongst themselves before rest- time which is in a separate quiet room. The babies sleep in the cot or buggy. Older children rest on the sofa's.

WORTH HAVING CHILDREN FOR!!
I have been looking after children since the start of the millenium. I live with my husband Graham. We have lived in Furzedown since 1983 and have converted two rooms for the children.
I am a firm believer in allowing children to explore as much as possible through play. We have lots of messy days, always outdoors come rain or shine. The summers are usually spent at the paddling pool at Tooting Lido. The winter-time splashing in puddles on the common.
Last year I started the " Big Lunch" a group of minders get together with the children at least once a week. It could be a picnic or lunch at a different minders house. The children have grown together, and so the socialising becomes a great confidence builder.
